CM2P activities
Intense global competition is pushing industries to seek out very high quality, higher performance and low cost products. Given this framework, to become more competitive and to maintain its leadership position in this area, the industry can no longer rely on the previously very common trial-and-error process, but must instead target a global approach based on a better understanding of the interactions between materials–processes–properties (CM2P).
The team at the Industrial Research Chair in Forming Technologies of High Strength Alloys (CM2P) will study these industrial challenges from a global perspective, using a micro-macro and multi-scale approach, and considering the influence of manufacturing parameters on microstructure evolution and the resulting impact on service properties.
